It has come to my attention that some of the answers in the verb sections are incorrect. I seem to have left my copy of the study guide at home, so, instead I will give a quick rundown of distinguishing each category so you can double check yourself where you think errors have been made.
Past, Present, Future
Regular past tense verbs will end in -ed. Regular present tense verbs will be like what you see in the dictionary. Sometimes -s must be added to the end to agree with the subject. Regular future tenses will include the word "will" before the main verb. unfortunately, irregular verbs (as the name suggests) do not follow these rules. You simply need to be familiar with them.
4 Principal Parts
Past and Present are the same as outlined above. A present participle is created by using the helping verbs is or are and adding -ing to the end of the present tense verb (such as is running). A past participle is made by using the helping verbs has, have, or had plus the past tense (such as had jogged).
Perfect Tenses
Past perfect is created by using the helping verb "had" and the past form. A present perfect is mad by using "has" or "have" as your helping verb and the past form. A future perfect is made by using "will have" as your helping verb plus the past form.
Hope this clears up any questions!
